DEFINE YOUR OWN SUCCESS
The dual degree Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology prepares passionate students to succeed in whatever they choose to do at the intersection of business and engineering. For many students focused on innovation, this means creating or joining a start-up venture. Others use their interdisciplinary understanding and advanced skill set to pursue careers with leading companies and global change agents.
Whether you dream of being entrepreneurial or corporate, carving your own path or joining a high functioning team, the Program can help you get there. The Program gives students the freedom to structure a tailored curriculum, augmented by close access to faculty, alumni, mentors, staff, advising and resources.
“One of the most impressive qualities of the M&T program is the tight-knit community it fosters. Whether that be the community of current students or the close relations that students have with the M&T alumni network, it truly is unique. Some of my closest friends at Penn came through the M&T community. I couldn’t be more thankful to have such a community coming into college on my first day. I am grateful to learn from and with such ambitious and driven students, and I am motivated by my peers in the M&T community every day.”

ALUMNI-STUDENT NETWORKING
The Jerome Fisher Program in M&T Program provides numerous meaningful opportunities for students to meet our strong network of nearly 2,000 alumni. Through formal and informal mentoring, Program graduates are always willing to speak with current students and help them make valuable connections, and our dedicated M&T LinkedIn group provides an online forum for more than 1,200 alumni and students.
The Program alumni have a strong track record of hiring M&T students across all industries!
EVENTS AND SOCIAL
Recruiting events and social activities throughout the academic year are a hallmark of the Program. Our alumni welcome and propel students in numerous ways—from hosting a Brown Bag lunch or recruiting event, to soliciting student feedback at a private product demo, to seeding innovative student projects.
On and off-campus alumni-student engagement events include these and other popular programs:
PROGRAMMING
NYC Student-Alumni Networking Event: One of our most popular events! Every fall, approximately 50 current students travel to Manhattan to meet area alumni there. See photos from our 2017 NYC Student-Alumni Networking event
Alumni-in-Residence Series: Focusing on career paths, these small, informal occasions take place throughout the semester. Alumni representing various industries and backgrounds meet with students over lunch, dinner, or coffee at a Brown Bag Lunch, Brown Bag Dinner, Coffee Chat, or Women’s Event. The Program has even held Skype chats for those alumni unable to venture to campus.
NYC Career Trek: Designed to introduce current students to diverse industries, M&T alumni and their employers host students for informative tours and Q&A discussions. Program students have visited the Manhattan offices of Palantir Technologies, Goldman Sachs, Evercore Partners, Fab.com, JP Morgan, Google, and other leading companies at the intersection of business and technology.
M&T Alumni Mentor Program: This special program matches hand-selected M&T alumni with M&T sophomores, juniors, and seniors for a group mentoring experience based on industry exploration. Mentors provide guidance and resources related to specific industries, including how to navigate on-campus recruiting at Penn, networking, and learning more about industry specifics.
RECRUITING
Recruiting Events: Representing their employers, some graduates host exclusive on-campus events just for M&T students; others may host informal sessions with small groups of Program students to discuss job openings, the recruiting process, and company culture.
On-Campus Recruiting: Many alumni specifically seek out M&T students for full-time or summer employment. They may work closely with a recruiting team in their firm or one-on-one with students to recruit top talent within the program.
M&T Intern Fellowship Award: The M&T Intern Fellowship Award offers financial support to students who secure internships with entrepreneurial ventures. M&T alumni strongly support this unique opportunity exclusive to M&T students. Many graduates of the program hire M&T students every year for dynamic summer internships at their start-ups. Additionally, many alumni provide financial support to the Award, ensuring that more students are able to receive funding each year.
M&T Summer Entrepreneurship Award: The M&T Summer Entrepreneurship Award is intended to assist students financially over the summer in lieu of full-time internships so students can concentrate on developing their entrepreneurial ventures.
