WHAT ARE YOU DOING CURRENTLY?

Senior corporate finance manager with Exxon Mobil Corporation. Responsible for corporate finance and treasury activities for ExxonMobil’s upstream activities in Africa, Middle East & Russia.

HOW DID M&T PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR CURRENT ROLE OR LIFE AFTER GRADUATION?

Upon matriculating, I was very uncertain of “what I wanted to do when I grew up”.  The M&T Program provided the forum to take full advantage of the one university concept and explore in great depth business and engineering disciplines. From this multi-year exploration, I was able to systematically discover my passion to pursue a finance career with a technology driven focus or industry.

HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH THE M&T COMMUNITY?

I recruit on behalf of ExxonMobil for Penn undergraduates and MBAs. M&T students with their strong analytical skills and business acumen are a great fit for our engineering driven company. I also interview M&T applicants as a member of the Penn Alumni Interview Program.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE M&T PROGRAM?

Being a true part of both the Wharton and engineering undergraduate communities on campus. I had a unique opportunity to meet, interact with, and work with a broader spectrum of the Penn community.

WHAT ACTIVITIES DID YOU TAKE PART IN WHILE AT PENN?

President of Black Wharton Undergraduate Association, Co-head of Stepping Stones, a career advisory student organization, student representative on Admissions & Financial Aid Committee, student recruiter, Society of Black Engineers, Onyx Honor Society, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, followed Penn basketball (in particular my sister who was a Hall of Fame player for the Women’s team).
