An interdisciplinary team comprised of Xiaoyi Chen, M&T’19, Fangyi Fa M&T’19, Quinn Wu M&T’19 along with their teammates Vanessa Howell, Yoonji Lee and Mia Masour, all SEAS’19, competed in the Cornell Cup Competition held over May 3-4 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. S.S. MAPR, a smart autonomous surface vehicle for river water sampling, walked away with the grand prize of $10,000. Congratulations to the team! Twelve finalists from different universities competed in the two day event. The second prize winners were another Penn engineering team, Terranova. S.S.MAPR was an integration lab finalist and presented their business pitch during the M&T summit on March 30th, 2019.
