Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, Altamont Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity firm in Palo Alto, CA.
HOW DID M&T PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR CURRENT ROLE OR LIFE AFTER GRADUATION?
The problem-solving techniques taught in engineering have been invaluable in all my jobs since graduation and the Wharton education gave me a great fundamental base in finance.
HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH THE M&T COMMUNITY?
I attend local gatherings when speakers come to town and enjoyed the 30th Anniversary event on campus. I also conduct alumni interviews through the Penn Alumni Interview Program.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE M&T PROGRAM?
The engineering lab – building computers (back in the day!) was very cool!
WHAT ACTIVITIES DID YOU TAKE PART IN WHILE AT PENN?
Tour guide, Goddard Prize (one of four honor awards), Dean’s list, Young Alumni Trustee finalist, elected president of the Hexagon Engineering Honor Society, elected to Board of Directors in the Engineering School (elected vice-president), Finance Club.
