“My experience during immersive was transformative and definitely unforgettable. The best piece of advice I received was from our opening speaker, Harold Chen, who said the most important thing is to be in a room with people worth listening to––listen to them and build relationships. This set the tone for the week so that I was actively looking for actionable takeaways from other speakers on this idea. During the fintech panel, I noted that the best way to start these relationships right now is to hop on Quakernet and Graduway and “hustle”. The panelists defined “hustle” as actually doing something to show interest as opposed to just saying hello and asking a question. Hustling will help candidates stand out and build a relationship, rather than passively listening to industry leaders and experts.”
