Management and Technology Summer Institute

The Management & Technology Summer Institute (M&TSI) is a rigorous and rewarding for-credit summer program for rising high school seniors and a select few rising high school juniors interested in exploring the integration of technological concepts and management principles.

Sponsored by the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, Penn Engineering, and the Wharton School, M&TSI features classes taught by leading Penn faculty and successful entrepreneurs, field trips to companies and R&D facilities, an intesive team prototyping project. as well as other activities designed to give students the opportunity to learn about the principles and practice of technological innovation. 

Highlights of M&TSI include:

          • Courses taught by full-time Wharton and Penn Engineering faculty
          • Attendees explore Penn's business and engineering offerings, hearing guest lectures from prominent faculty recognized as leaders in their field
          • Students build and present a prototype and go-to-market plan for their own high-tech venture
          • Project presentations are evaluated by Penn faculty, recieving feedback from seasoned entrepreneurs and investors
          • Students participate in activities led by industry innovators such as Google IPO simulation led by Michael Grimes, Head of Global Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley
          • Attendees receive a full Penn college-course credit for successful completion of program

M&TSI 2019 will run July 7th-July 27th, 2019. 
Students must be available during the program dates in order to successfully participate in the program.

The cost of the 2019 program (including tuition, housing, meals, and weekend excursions) is $7,000.

Scholarships are available for domestic and international students in the form of financial aid. There is an opportunity for partial or full funding based on need.

The 2019 application is available online and will go live on December 14th, 2018 and close on February 22nd, 2019.
